THE MOMENT (1998)

The Moment is a light and laser installation created for the inauguration ceremony for the University of Malmö in the harbour of Malmö, Sweden. The installation consisted of a variety of elements set in place in urban space. At the core of the work was a laser light sent from the legendary and massive Kockums shipyard crane. The laser light was reflected in mirrors that were set up at five remarkable buildings in Malmö, including the former town hall and the central postal office. The laser thus formed a pentagon in the sky above Malmö harbour and city centre.
